Bali Location
Bali Map
Bali Beach Villas at Tejakula is located
near the ancient village of Tejakula on the
northeast coast of Bali, an island, just east of Java in what was once known as the
Dutch East Indies. We are about 30 km (18.5mi.) east of Singaraja
(the 'lion king'), the major city on the north coast, and about 15
km (9mi.) east of the other Cilik's Beach Garden resort properties
on the beach at Air Sanih.
Bali is in the tropics, a few degrees below the Equator. The climate
here is balmy, year-round, with daily highs that average 80-85
degrees, and nightly lows of 70-75. A pleasant, gentle breeze off
the Bali Sea tempers the afternoon warmth...truly a tropical
paradise.
The village of Tejakula is a Rajput (a principality formerly ruled
by a maharaja) capital with 6,000 inhabitants, and is often
referred to as the 'Ubud of the North' for its rich cultural and
historic aspects including dance, gamelan music, art, gold-smithing and silverwork. Village residents today continue many of
the religious and cultural practices that have occupied them for
hundreds of years.
Unlike the south of Bali, this area has been less touched by
tourism, providing visitors an opportunity to experience the truly
gracious welcome of the warm and friendly Balinese people, and to
observe them as they go about their everyday pursuits.
Access to Bali Beach Villas at Tejakula is via the coastal road from
Singaraja, or the major north-south route from Denpasar and Ubud,
along which you will enjoy vistas of dramatic mist-shrouded
mountains and a beautiful coastline, along with picturesque,
terraced rice paddies, coffee and banana plantations, and various
spice-growing areas.
Approximate driving times to:
- Denpasar, Nusa Dua & Ngurah Rai Int'l. Airport - 3 hr.
- Ubud - 2 hr.
- Singaraja - 40 minutes
Transportation in our air-conditioned vehicles with English speaking
